Energise your English with express writing
A swift way to get your English flowing is express writing.
In its basic form, express writing means choosing a topic, setting a timer for 5 minutes and writing non-stop.
Like Barbara did for her favourite hobby:
I love cooking and I like to have a lot of people at the table, especially I’m cooking something that take more time. It is also exciting to open the fridge and to cook a dish with these things who are inside …
Do this most days.
You’ll activate the words and grammar that are currently sleeping. You’ll notice your gaps. You’ll want to fill them.
Best of all, speaking as well as writing become less of a struggle.
But that’s just the beginning.
Because there are many fast and easy techniques to spice up the effectiveness of express writing.
One of those spices is getting feedback.
Here’s the example again with my corrections:
I love cooking and I like to have a lot of people at the table, especially when I’m cooking something that takes more time. It’s also exciting to open the fridge and to cook a dish with those things that are inside …
And I add notes to explain the changes.
So step by step, your English is energised. You can talk and write more easily about what matters to you.
Painlessly kick start your English with express writing.
